I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the BACP based in Bristol. I have 14 years’ experience of working with young people and adults across a variety of education and social care settings. I have worked in school counselling services, as well as working with adult clients in the NHS.
I have experience of working with both adults and young people, offering long-term as well as short-term, goal orientated work. I have experience of working with a diverse range of people and issues, including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-harm, bereavement, chronic health issues, abuse, stress and work-related issues.
I am an Integrative practitioner which means that I draw on different approaches in my work to best meet your needs as an individual. I work mainly in a person-centred, relational way and aim to offer a warm, empathic and non-judgemental space for you to explore your concerns, feelings and thoughts at a pace that is led by you. I also draw on elements of Psychodynamic, Gestalt Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and solution-focussed approaches in my work.
In my private practice I offer both short and long term counselling to adult clients over the age of 18.
